The alpaca’s coats are coming off! Come celebrate the fleece harvest with demonstrations, local artisans, live music, food, and fun activities.
Alpaca Shearing: 9:00AM-1:00PM. Mark Loffhagen returns from New Zealand and will demonstrate the art of shearing over 50 alpacas and a few llamas.
Fiber Processing: Watch how the fiber is separated and prepared for the mill and then spun into yarn. Fiber artists will be demonstrating needle felting, macramé and more.
Art/Craft Vendors & Demos: TX-Ture Farm is proud to have a vendor market of local, handmade arts and crafts. Keep scrolling to see the list and it continues to grow.
Live Music:
Spring Cleaning: The alpacas are getting rid of their coats. Be like an alpaca. Clean the closet and bring those gently used items to those in need. Donate2Impact will be here accepting: clothing; shoes; purses; backpacks; blankets; linens.
Paca Tattoos: FREE to children of all ages while they last.
Barnyard Games: Challenge your friends to a game of barnyard Cornhole, Jumbo Jenga, or Jumbo Connect Four.
Festival Food & Beverage: Try a lavender beer, lavender prosecco, beer, wine & food trucks.
Paca Express Take an exciting ride on the Paca Express barrel train! The kid’s $5 journey begins in the Paca Express Depot where they receive the golden Paca Express ticket. The Paca Express travels through the Christmas tree farm.
Policies
- Parking: Onsite parking is free. Overflow parking is available at Monaco Elementary School.
- No Outside Food & Drink: Please support our local food vendors.
- No Littering: We take great pride in the care of our farm, so please utilize the available trash receptacles.
- No Smoking: Although we are in a large outdoor setting, please refrain from smoking on our property for the comfort and safety of our guests. Dry grass, hay and woodchips are abundant on the farm and are extremely flammable.
- No Animals: Except Trained Service Animals. They will add to the alpaca’s stress and our guardian dogs are on duty. Please keep them at home today.
